Wool is a miracle fibre that has unique thermoregulating abilities, keeping wearers warm in winter and cool in summer. Comparing wool to non wool sleeping bags using the TOG (Thermal Overall Grade) value may not be accurate. But for comparison, Merineo's baby blue and soft grey fabrics have a TOG value of 0.4. Wool is also naturally fire resistant and safer than cotton and synthetics, hence the Merineo baby sleeping bags have the lowest fire rating based on a laboratory test.
