Is Bubble Bath Necessary for Babies?
No. Bubble bath is optional.
For newborns, Australia's Raising Children Network says 2–3 baths per week are enough to keep a newborn clean, and that frequent bathing can dry the skin. A mild baby cleanser can be used where needed.

Ingredients to Understand in Baby Bubble Bath
Surfactants
Surfactants are the cleansing and foaming ingredients that create bubbles. Examples include decyl glucoside, coco-glucoside, cocamidopropyl betaine, sodium methyl cocoyl taurate and sulfate-based surfactants.
