Andalou Naturals Brilliant Shine Shampoo & Conditioner Reviewed

Andalou Naturals Brilliant Shine Shampoo & Conditioner - Reviewed

Andalou Naturals Brilliant Shine Shampoo & Conditioner Reviewed I’ve been testing the Andalou Naturals Shampoo & Conditioner range, and as I’m now on to my second bottles of these, I thought it was about time I shared. I chose the Brilliant Shine range to test, as it’s aimed at all hair types. Now I’ve got big time wavy hair that I try to deny is curly, but loves to go poodle style on me when I hit humidity. Let's just say that visits to my family in Queensland are not good hair days! I often get a dry and itchy scalp, and dry ends as well, yet my roots tend to get oily after only a couple of days. It’s kind of weird. First of all, I have to say that I’m in love with the smell of these. There’s no perfume, but there’s orange and tangerine essential oils in both the shampoo and the conditioner, and they smell absolutely divine. The shampoo is fresh and citrussy without being overpowering, and the conditioner smells like orange cream (but fresh orange cream, not fake). I'm a big fan of citrus in the morning. It's such a yummy start to the day. You don’t need much shampoo at all to get a good lather, which is not the case for all natural shampoos. I've used natural shampoos that feel like pouring oil on your head, but not Andalou Naturals. It lathers up nicely, but when I rinse it doesn't feel like my hair has been stripped. It’s pretty much the same with the conditioner. You don’t need much but it’s very effective. With other 'natural' conditioners you seem to need heaps and heaps before it seems to do anything, but not this one. I’ve found that the best way to use this conditioner is to put a bit on all over my hair and massage it through the roots. I know that you're not supposed to because it gives you greasy roots, but this conditioner is really soothing and I don't end up with an itchy irritated scalp. I rinse this conditioner out completely, and then when I've turned the shower off, I put a tiny blob (less than a 5 cent piece size) on to my hands, smoosh it around and then apply it to my hair, avoiding the roots this time. It’s absolutely the best trick for a leave in conditioner and the Andalou Naturals conditioner doesn’t leave my hair looking greasy or heavy. It just keeps my hair smooth and soft without all the flyaways. I can honestly say that my hair is looking better than it has for ages. Definitely my new favourite! It’s not expensive at $13.95 each for 340mls, and because you don’t actually need very much, it works out to be very economical.

The verdict:

Fantastic quality shampoo and conditioner, great ingredients, very economical and leaves your hair in great condition (expecially if you use the conditioner as a leave in conditioner as well). Double thumbs up from me! Andalou's Brilliant Shine range also has a natural Hair Spray, and a natural Styling Gel. I haven't tried either of these, but I've had good customer feedback on both of these. They're both $13.95, so they're good value, too.
