Cranberry Almond Energy Bites

15 Healthy and Delicious Protein Ball Recipes

A couple of months back, my eldest son was really ill. He was in bed for three weeks with a virus, and one of the things I really focused on was making sure that he was eating highly nutritious foods to get him back on the road to recovery. He's got a bit of a sweet tooth, so in between nourishing soups, bone broths and veggie juices, he was begging me for a treat. I started experimenting with a few protein balls, and they were a huge hit. So I thought I'd pull together a few of the ones we tried, and some that just look delicious. They're super easy to make, because all you do is blitz everything together and roll them into a ball. The kids can even help out by rolling them for you. And protein balls are great energy boosting snacks, easy to keep in the fridge to grab and go. Here's a few of my favourites:

Choc Peppermint Bliss Balls

These protein balls from Wholefood Simply were hands down my kids' favourite. They thought these tasted just like Mint Slice biscuits. I added a couple of tablespoons of chia seeds for the extra fibre and protein, and the kids love these for an after school snack.
